Love Story
Veron and William’s wedding at Tennyson’s Garden was a celebration of their love, filled with meaningful moments and joy. They shared their journey with us, from how they met to the magic of their special day.

Can you share your love story?
We initially met in Singapore through a school club we were volunteering at. Our paths crossed again years later after we left school.
How did you decide to take the next step and get engaged? What was that moment like for you both?
We had felt like we have been missing that chance to explore things further between us as the timing was never right. But when we reconnected at the right moment, we both knew there was something special
When you started planning your wedding, what was the most important aspect you wanted to reflect about your relationship?
God - as we truly believe that it is Him that made it all possible.
Why did you choose Tennyson's Garden (at The Brisbane Golf Club) as the venue for your wedding? What did you immediately love? How did it resonate with your love story?
We wanted a venue that offered a 'one-stop shop' experience, with a garden ceremony, scenic photo opportunities, and intimate dinner reception.
How did you incorporate elements of your love story into your wedding at Tennyson's Garden?
Our decor featured photos of special moments of our relationship and the centrepiece for each table were made from dried flowers from bouquets that William sent to me when we were in a long distance relationship.
Can you describe any special moments during your ceremony or reception? What were the best parts of your day?
Our friends were aware of our desire to exchange vows in a beautiful garden setting. It was pouring the whole morning and though the rain did stop before the ceremony, it will be a challenge to get the location ready for the ceremony as the chairs were all wet and the area will need to be cleaned up as well. At that point, we thought that we will just have to go with the wet weather plan.
Yet, the mammoth task of cleaning up within a short time frame did not deter our friends and the Tennyson Garden's team. It touched our hearts to see everyone putting in so much effort to dry the chairs and clean up the area just so we can still have the wedding ceremony we desired.
How did the ambiance of Tennyson's Garden contribute to the feelings and memories you created on your wedding day?
The ambience at Tennyson's Garden was cozy and intimate - which was what we wanted for our wedding.

The amazing team at Tennyson's Garden made the day a truly memorable one for us by being so friendly, accommodating and attentive to every detail. The day went so smoothly without us having to worry about anything.
